What Books Qualify:

We love books of all kinds, and if your book meets our Submission Guidelines, we want to see it!  In general, submissions must meet the following qualifications:

• The manuscript must be 10,000 words or more.
• The content must be original to the Internet. While we welcome previously published books, we do ask for the non-exclusive right to publish the work in its entirety online.
• Only the rightful owner (i.e. author or publisher of the print version) of the work may submit it. The owner must be able to provide proof of digital rights.
• The book must be relatively error free. PublicBookshelf will not edit your work, but we do a general review to ensure the content is reasonably grammatically correct and optimized for online use.
• The content must abide by the Terms of Use. This means your book may not include unlawful content, including defamation, abuse, harassment, stalking, threats, or otherwise violate the legal rights of others.
• Does not include excessive profanity or violence.
• Does not include pornography or adult content.

How Submission and Publication Works:

• Register as an author and upload your manuscript.
• We will review your manuscript and either offer you an advance with a publishing contract or reject it.
• Our publishing contract is for the non-exclusive use of the online rights only. You are welcome to continue to pursue other ebook and printed book contracts.
• Once you sign the contract, we publish your book on PublicBookshelf and deposit your advance in your PayPal account.
• We promote your book by directing the search engines and our readers to your pages.  Readers can come and read or browse the book, find out more information about it including links to where they can purchase your book on the Internet.
• You will receive a share of the revenue payments which we receive from the advertisements that we run on the various pages of your online book.
• As soon as your advertising revenues exceed your advance, we will deposit your earned advertising revenues into your PayPal account.
